I wish zero stars was an option. I went through Psychology Today and found someone who I thought would be a good fit and sent an inquiry. Mindfully called me and offered a different counselor who had Saturday hours available for couples counseling. We are currently sitting here when our appointment was supposed to start 35 mins ago. Had my initial meeting today. A horrible experience. Left after just 30 minutes feeling embarrassed and humiliated. Neal Dunsieth was disinterested and unengaged. I spent 30 minutes talking about a heart wenching situation only after he asked me to embellish on it. Then he tells me he's not a therapist and only prescribes medication, that he hasn't done therapy for 15 years. Kept asking me why I was there. Walked into an empty office. There’s no receptionist. Only a sign that says to scan the QR code to let your therapist know you’re here. Too bad if you don’t have a smart phone eh? I found out I was sent to the wrong office where then I had to travel to Kenwood. Met my therapist and used our time answering questions off a computer…. Hoping my next session goes better.
I love Mindfully! I have a great therapist and am getting a lot out of my sessions. It’s near my home and paying my copay is super easy too! I recommend it to everyone!!
My experience with Mindfully was great from beginning to end. I had the pleasure of working with Devyn Thompson Sanders LSW. She was extremely professional, yet she had the ability to envelop herself into my specific situation with care and understanding. She offered sound counseling to encourage my self help. If the need were to arise again, Devyn would be the professional that I would reach out to.
