We were in town for the Belk Bowl and I'm very happy we didn't wait for the Mellow Mushroom across the street. The wife and daughter split a beautiful prime rib with home style mashed potatoes. I had the kale salad and mussel special appetizer. Kevin brought us their fresh rolls and honey butter which didn't last very long. The staff was all friendly with a great vibe but a special shout out to the bar staff for keeping us in good humor (along with awesome drinks)
I went on a Sunday for bruch buffet. The food and selection were good however when my party went back for seconds several items were gone and were never replaced on the buffet. The spinach pasta, the salmon, and bacon. Actually there was never bacon in the beginning. My server went to the back and brought me out some strips. For what I tasted it was good, but keyword was buffet. It was not if key dishes are missing.
I called and asked where to park since I'd had not been there in a few years. Never told about "free valet" parking. Limited menu, too pricey, avg food, no crowd for a long food wait. Won't be back... way too many better places in Charlotte. Place was empty... I'm thinking the hostess should know you offer complimentary valet parking. Seriously... rubbed me wrong from the get go as I walked pass that sign on the sidewalk. Hmmmm
The first restaurant where I had a business lunch after moving here and the place I took my bride for our first anniversary. One of my favorites - regular changes in the menu, great food, exceptional service and nice atmosphere. Love this place.
