Milwaukee Ballet was founded in 1970 with a dream to create a local place where professional dancers could excel. As the Company grew and took new forms under new artistic directors, one factor remained constant: the desire to make a name for the art form and for Milwaukee. Our mission is to create a rich and diverse community through its inspiring dance performances, education, and community engagement.

Milwaukee Ballet consistently puts on wonderful performances.
I have been lucky enough to attend many performances of the Milwaukee Ballet, including but not limited to 23 years with only missing TWO Nutcrackers (I still hate those two years). I have never been disappointed in anything I have seen and it seems like my “Top five ballet performances” gets a new entry every year. I have laughed, cried, gasped and cheered and love every minute. This ballet is truly a gift to Milwaukee. We are so lucky to have it and to be able to support it. Saw Coppélia, Friday... SO GREAT! Amazingly beautiful! The Prima nailed it! If all these dancers weren’t having the greatest time of their life, then they have me fooled. I loved every minute of it. Thank you!
My husband and I went to see A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was amazing performance!!
Amazing artists. Milwaukee is truly blessed to have a professional ballet of this caliber!
Just got home from seeing Lambarena! It was a beautiful performance!!! WELL DONE!!
I liked it. Great energy in dance. Not a story line program like Dracula or Cinderella but dance had Good formation, rhythm, unity and shapes. I liked it. Music and costumes worked for the performances.
We have loved watching Milwaukee Ballet and MBII this season! Coming from Kansas City, it’s a joy to see another midwestern city embracing and funding the arts! Congratulations Milwaukee on this gem of a company!!!
They are one of the great treasures of Milwaukee, and they inspire grace and imagination at every level. The Tour de Force program, in and of itself, is one of the most magical things I have ever seen, and that's just one of the many amazing things they do!
