This is a wonderful place with wonderful people in it. My brother is Mike. I live up North & have stopped in many times at Alano to see him. Not only is the building historically beautiful, it is a place for people to relax, learn things , & enjoy the company of many welcoming individuals. Who wouldn't want to be there?! I have met almost all of my brothers friends & people hanging out there. They are always kind & welcoming.
A beautiful place filled with love, caring and understanding. Absolutely instrumental in my recovery. I came to the Alano this past Veterans Day really struggling, I felt alone and close to relapse. Due to the kindness and sweet nature of someone dear to me, who took the time to talk to me that night I believe it kept me returning to the club. As a direct result of feeling so welcome and cared for I think of the Alano as Home. Im forever grateful, Thank you So very much
Soft place to come in out of the cold literally and figuratively- great recovery here and people doing the deal. Grateful I found this place, still new to Milwaukee.
The Board of Directors should be in the Recovery Hall of Fame for having the best and most gorgeous cafe manager ever!! Such an uplifting place for socializing,support,sponsorships,sporting events,card games,30+ meetings throughout each calendar week,and some of the best home cooked meals on the Eastside. Beverages and snacks are reasonably priced to accommodate your budget. #HISTORYOFSAVINGLIVES #DONKCITY
