Barbara, at the Reading Location, was very attentive while I gave platelets and was very informative. Being a universal donor , AB - she made me aware I could donate just plasma , every 28 days. I Will truly consider this. Side note: It would be nice to have the screen in front of you , as opposed to off to the side, just for comfort of not having to turn your neck for over an hour…but she did accommodate my asking. She was wonderful- glad I was able to donate and hopefully help others.
I hadn't donated blood at Miller -Keystone for at least 18 years and honestly I was a bit nervous. I made an appointment online and the day of, I completed the required questionnaire online as well. I was warmly greeted at the front desk upon arrival. After check in I was taken to a room where my vitals were taken by a very sweet ,professional nurse.
