I would like to thank Miller Farms for allowing us to glean their fields yesterday. We arrived fairly late but we were greeted heartily and welcomed in. We didn't bring shovels but had a good time with the sun setting and we were able to glean nearly 200# of root vegetables! By the end of the week our pantry will be well supplied.� Thank you Miller Farms !
Today I earned an entirely new perception of how hard farmers must work to bring food to the stores and into hungry tummy’s. After digging potatoes, carrots, onions and picking cabbage, I have gained a new respect for this time honored profession. Thank you Millers for the free picking day, and for extending those picking hours through the week. You are true Americans who are dedicated to giving back and you are so deeply appreciated for all your hard work. May your next year be very bountiful.
