The security deposit handling at Millennium Santa Monica was disappointing and felt unfair. After moving out in August 2025, I received just a $15 refund check over a month later, without any initial itemized list of deductions, which I believe violated California’s 21-day rule under Civil Code § 1950.5. They later claimed charges for routine painting and cleaning that seemed like normal wear and tear, not actual damage, and stood firm on refusing any further refund despite my evidence and disputes. I have been living here for 4 years now. I must say that from the beginning since I started living here , the leasing team has always addressed me with a condescending and dismissive tone. The building is big, so I convinced myself that I wouldn’t need to interact with them much anyway and decided not to Let this bother me within my stay and figured I stay invisible as possible.
