Went to lab for bloodwork and the assistant that worked on missed the vein and now my arm is aching terribly, I will not go there again, I will go to quest. I should have listened to my spouse who had a similar experience. Keep in mind I have big veins and never had any issues with giving blood. They need qualified people!!!
I wish I got her name, but I am young and a very difficult stick - I have been poked and sent home multiple times with no results. This phlebotomist checked every possible vein before asking a colleague for help and she got it on the first try. A lot of others would fail and pass me off, so the fact that this woman took her time and did not even attempt to draw blood without a good vein was so impressive and appreciated.
