My daughter and I returned to Milk & Honey at the Loren as part of my birthday celebration. They are so warm and friendly, the space is gorgeous, full of indirect, natural light, and the treatments are always perfect. The providers are talented and intuitive enough to understand what is needed with just a brief intro, which allows me to relax and enjoy the massage more fully without having to give any additional feedback. First time at the Loren location on 8/7, and I was serviced by Erin and Sara, 5/5! They were both wonderful and made my experience enjoyable. The front desk concierge when I arrived around 2 PM was very welcoming! However, the woman who checked me out around 5 PM on was not at all. She seemed more focused on processing my payment and getting back to her computer than interacting with me, which made me feel like I was bothering her. It was a disappointing way to end an otherwise great experience.
I had an interesting situation for my booked massage this past week. I have been recently diagnosed with metastatic melanoma and wanted to just "escape" with a massage. June, my massage therapist, had to deliver the news to me that they couldn't do my massage because of the risks and they are not oncology massage therapists -- something I never even thought of. I really wanted to love Milk + Honey because of its reputation but unfortunately my experiences have been underwhelming. My first visit included a massage for my mom and a facial for me. The experience got off to a rough start because the spa had to reschedule our appointments the day before due to a staff call-out.
