I've been a patient of Dr. Shukla for few years now. Amazing experience. Very thorough with her consultation each and every time.
Front desk reception is extremely rude which is a shame because the doctor is fine but no one wants to be talked to and treated in that manner so I’m sure there are fine optometrists elsewhere.
I am surprised to see a review here stating the Dr doesn’t have regard for one’s time. While i understand waiting for excessive time is difficult, I don’t feel it is intentional. I have seen the Dr for a few years now and have experienced both instances; seen at my appointment time and had to wait as the previous patients exam took a bit. As the other reviewer said, the exam is thorough (especially if there is an issue) so I don’t mind waiting to ensure thing are not done hastily. The front desk clerk (a black woman) is absolutely phenomenal. She's patient, understanding, clean, and prioritizes the patient's needs above all else. Despite not having an appointment, I called and explained the situation, and she managed to fit me in. Upon arrival, I realized she's not just a receptionist; she's also a technician specialist and an insurance specialist as during my visit I witnessed the other workers went to her for assistance. I agree with the previous reviewer. The front desk staff is not the friendliest. The Doctor is good and does a thorough examination. However, she has no respect for patient's time. Even when you show up 10 minutes before the appointment, you are made to wait for an hour. This is not an exception. I have experienced this on three visits.
