Make sure you get a quote in writing... I needed a lot of work done on my teeth (root canal/crown, several fillings), and the actual dentist gave me a verbal quote of $240.00 for the root canal and crown after my insurance portion. However when I came out of the root canal (no crown yet), they tried to charge me 600 dollars, since the dentist who gave me the quote is an idiot and can't read a freaking chart to save her life, didn't tell me the root canal guy is out of my network. Miles of Smiles I went here to get my teeth whitened. The dentist did an excellent job. I didn't think my teeth could be white again. He not only did an excellent job, but the cost was very reasonable and he showed me the basics on how to keep my teeth clean. Very clean place with very nice people.
Extortionists Classic bait & switch. They make you sign a paper that says they can't be sure how much the service will actually cost. All I wanted was a cleaning. I went, got an xray and exam, then they wanted to do $400 of extra work. When I said "no", they told me to leave and they wouldn't clean my teeth. Extortion 101.
Be careful, they will overcharge you. Just wanted to warn everybody to be careful with payments. I was charged $350 dollars besides what they charged my insurance. I later got the EOB(explanation of benefits) from my insurance and it turns out that my out of pocket amount should have only been $200. I waited a month to see if they would credit my account and it didn't happen. I had to call to get the credit and didn't end up getting the full portion that I should have been given.
