I came to Dr. Lam 3 years ago at the recommendation of my personal physician. My A1C was wildly out of control at 14+ and I had ballooned up to boot. She reviewed my medical records and immediately removed the medications I had been on. She prescribed a new regime and sternly (but lovingly) warned me to follow her direction and I would see results. She was not wrong. I really like Dr Lam. Shes upfront , orders appropriate testing and Im okay with that. If you want to be coddled get a therapist.
She listens but doesn't! N she tells me i don't have something when i do so. Those r the only 2 problems I have with her.
Dr. Lam was straight forward and knowledgeable. I enjoyed my visit with her very much talking about my health care. If you need a good endocrinologist give her a try I think you will be very satisfied with her care. I believe she holds her patients and colleagues accountable.
Every time I go in everything is my fault. She's always blaming me fir my sugars going crazy. She also does not listen. I have told her how my body resists too much insulin because she keeps increasing it and she will not listen. I also had a failed attempt at pituitary surgery to remove the growth on my pituitary glad because it's putting out hormones. When she found out the surgery was canceled per surgeons orders because I was not in a good or safe place mentally she got mad at me.
