In 1915, Mario DeBenedetti began baking Italian breads in Lockport, Ill., using family recipes he brought to America from his homeland. He called his bakery Milano, after the Italian city he remembered from his youth. Demand for his fresh-baked breads grew quickly, and in 1926, the Milano Bakery moved into a new building. Great old school bakery with a fun side! Great boscotti and donuts.
So... my son and I go pick up our order of CREME PUFFS. He has never had REAL creme puffs. We get them and get into my truck. I let him have ONE. When we got home, the container was empty !? I said..SON!? I DIDNT GET ANY!? He said... No dad, I saved you ONE , because I love you. With a smile he gave it to me. He said... Those were so good! It was all i could do to not eat them all! ... making memories...
