I've heard so much hype about this place since I arrived in SIC (6 years ago). I won't say it was awful - but, I was really disappointed with the quality of the seafood. For the "hype" and the price, I expected much better quality.
The crab chowder had a good flavor but little to no crab in it. I got linguine with crabmeat in a garlic sauce but the crabmeat was overcooked and dry - it resembled dried out chicken. The hostess and servers were friendly as were the gentlemen behind the counter. The wait time for food was as promised.
Love Mike's ...always great food and service .. We eat there as often as we can. Depending on the time and day you may have to wait..but it's worth it ���
Here's what happened: go in Thursday place an order for crabs they put my name on it and tell me to call 10 minutes before pick up so they can steam them for me. Call Friday AM to say I am going to pick them up and the guy on the phone tells me they sold them and have no more. He said they saw my name on the bag of crabs but sold them anyway, he didn't know why they did that. We WERE good customers but I am done with Mikes.
