It's a huge loss not having Mikes Drum Shop a part of our musical community in Santa Barbara. I bought my first pair of sticks from Mike back in the Carrillo Street days. I'd get excited just walking into the place. Mike was such a great personality. More than a friend he was like my drumming daddy. Those kinds of shops where you could just kickback, make some noise, cop some licks,tell stories, and just genuinely feel a part of are a dying breed. I miss you Mike.
