Food The food was really really good. THe prices are a little high. The place is nice but parking stinks. THe staff is great and really friendly. Worth the money
Keep it a Secret! Hands down one of the best steak houses I've ever been to. This little gem on Park Avenue in Rutherford can play with the big boys. Every time I go the Steaks just keep getting better. The sides are to die for, creamed spinach, scalloped potatoes, the best garlic mashed around. If you are in the mood for a great steak I promise you will not be disappointed.
Will never eat there again after how many roaches we saw while out to dinner there. Stay away. My husband and I were out with our friends at Mignon just this past weekend and right before we got our salads we saw several roaches running on the floors and on the walls. We brought it to the attention of the wait staff and they said sorry, but there wasn't anything they could do about it. Needless to say we up and left immediately. Used to look forward to going – I used to go to Mignon for special occasions as it has the menu of a New York City steakhouse and can pull it off. But, last time I went we were disappointed. The meat (had a sampler of various cuts of meat) was chewy and overcooked and we did not have the same attention from the staff. We decided that we were played out on Mignon and took it off our list.
Unfotunate event ruins this restaurant for me...... – I've been going to this restaurant for quite sometime and am displeased to say that I will no longer be eating there. After enjoying some of their reasonably priced overly seasoned lamb chops I decided to finish the mashed potatoes. Inside was an already chewed up piece of mint flavored gum. Mediocre steaks – Given the price for the steaks we ordered, we were not satisfied upon our second visit last night. My T-Bone (ordered medium) came medium-well cooked, and my wife's Filet Mignon was everything but tender, in fact is was grossly overcooked and rather chewy. The dry flowers in an old Pellegrino bottle are just tacky, the chipped plates should be replaced, and necessary roof repairs should be done before opening to guests. Great Place – This place is very good for any occasion. Not as romantic as Cafe Matisse across the street but it's a great place for a well priced steak. Simliar to a NYC steakhouse the meats are great and we enjoyed the sides as well. This place can be romantic and is not a good place for children. BYOB everywhere in Rutherford is helpful on the pockets. Our bill here for an appitizer, 2 steaks with 2 sides was under $100.
