My new washer and dryer broke 3x and the company did not replace it. They are impressive machines but break often so I would not have purchased without the extended warranty. They did make sure we got the rebate after I complained, which is more than most companies would do.

I pass by this Miele showroom all the time, even window-shopped a few times after-hours. I owned an S7580 Pirouette Upright (Williams-Sonoma exclusive) and has had it for more than 12 years now and still holding up. I only had to replace the handle because the power button just cracked internally and render the thing useless. The problem is I can't just replace a plastic 'button' which probably costed much much less but had to purchase the entire handle assembly (with all buttons and 50-ft cord). Miele is an AWFUL brand. Will never purchase again after 2 fridges/freezers being lemons and not having being recompensed at all.

I had major issues with my Miele appliances after the company I purchased them from (Pirch) went out of business. I bought the appliances in 2021 as we prepared for a complete house remodel that took 3 years. The appliances were not installed until August of 2023 and not used for another year when we finally moved into our new home. I was left without the extra year of warrantee because Pirch went belly-up I was left with no extra warranty, confusing manuals, and extremely unhelpful Miele customer service.
