I had surgery with Dr. Pittman followed up with severe bleeding, fissure and external hemorrhoids complications. He was very dismissive about the after care and said that the complications would go away. They did not and it got worse. He said all related complications would be covered by the surgery. I went to Dr. Patel instead, who is professional and considerate. He addressed all the issues - it took over a 1.5 year to correct the complications and then they billed me. I do want to start this post by saying that Dr. Peter Davis is outstanding. So, this post is, in no way, a reflection on him. Rather, this post is about the remainder of my interactions with the practice. * Today, I called the Naab St. office to make an appointment for acute symptoms. I was told that my doctor is out for 1.5 weeks, but I could call the Carmel office to see if anyone there can see me sooner. To be safe, I booked an appointment for 11 days from now. When does the pain stop? At 3 weeks they say you're healed, but that's not true. Dietary restrictions and painful stool go on much longer.

As much as I didn't want to have surgery, it was needed and Dr. Pittman made it as simple as possible. Very prompt on office visits which helped schedule appointments anytime during the day.
