I had to make the very difficult decision to say goodbye to my best friend and whole heart last month, and I'm very appreciative to MMVH for making the process as easy and as painless as goodbyes can reasonably be. Sadly, on Monday, July 13, 2026, we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Colbie. We had only learned the day before that she had cancer that was essentially inoperable, and she was already struggling and in pain. We chose to say our goodbyes at home with the help of Midtown Hospice Veterinary Services, and we cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rebecca Hu. Making the decision to let a beloved pet go is very difficult. I really appreciate finding this place to help with that painful process. From the initial phone call to the home visit to euthanize our sweet girl we were treated with kindness and compassion. Dr George Reisman couldn’t have been nicer. He explained the process, told us what to expect, assured us our sweet girl wouldn’t feel any pain and made sure we took the time we needed to let her go. I am so glad that I chose MMVHS to have my senior dog euthanized at home. The staff were very courteous and answered all my questions with regards to the whole process. Dr. Elizabeth Silk was so patient and her soft spoken words provided comfort during the whole process. My dog Bailey was treated with care and she passed peacefully thanks to Dr.Silk and the services of MMVHS. I would highly recommend their services if you need to euthanize your dying pet in a caring and thoughtful manner within the safe comforts of home.
Knowing about the existence of this Mobile Veterinary Hospice, brought a lot of comfort to us. I knew that if one day we will be faced with such difficult decisions like having to take the matter of life and death in our hands, we should call a Veterinarian Doctor to come home. I couldn't imagine having to take our dog in his last moments of life to a clinical cold, foreign place which he already was frightened off.
