I needed some 3/4" oak that was cut accurately to length. The local big box stores won't even attempt to that. Midtown was happy to cut the pieces I needed and ship them to me. The wood arrived extremely well packaged. it was plastic wrapped, then wrapped in cardboard, then another layer of plastic wrap. There was zero damage because of the care taken. Awesome experience working with Midtown Lumber. Dave was very communicative and professional throughout. I ordered around 150 custom cuts to be delivered to my home for custom workbenches for my art studio. The cuts ended up perfect, all within the estimated 1/16" length. The last lumber company I worked with was not able to maintain that level of precision.
