I called Midtown Handyman - Discount Home Repair because I was interested in having some work done in my home (some minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and some drywall and painting). They were quick to respond and were detailed in explaining how they would complete the repairs. They were extremely professional and had the work done in a timely manner. I was so pleased with the work, I have them coming back out to help me remodel my home office space.
I had a list of City violations that the city inspector had sent me in regards to my property. I contacted several companies which declined the work saying that these items are too small for them to bother. I contacted Midtown/Discount Repair and they were more than happy to come out. They gave me a quotes on all my violations which included carpentry, painting and some electrical. These guys did a fantastic job and completing the repairs. Needed a ton of city violations repaired on a rental property I called to make an appointment they came out the next day and gave me a detailed cost estimate. These contractors did a great job very fast completion time they delt with the city inspector to make sure all violations passed. We are very satisfied with the whole process would definitely recommend these contractors.
2019 review Mike's work ethic, reliability and professionalism went downhill in 2019. I suspected that there were issues because projects were taking a long time. I offered to get him help. He said no. Basically my properties deteriorated over the last 8 months. Necessary repairs were not completed. Tenants were living with sewage in the basement, holes in the ceiling from plumbing issues upstairs, electricity not working and the list goes on. I needed some repairs done to my home before the Easter Holiday as I was having guests over and a friend of mine recommended Midtown Handyman & Remodeling. I called them to have some work done in my living room and to upgrade my bathroom. They did a great job in my living room and exceeded my expectations in the bathroom. I received several compliments from my guests and referred Midtown to a few of my guests as well. They were very courteous and professional and I will certainly use them in the future.
Last summer we hired Midtown Handyman & Remodeling to remodel our small bathroom. We would never recommend them to anyone! What was supposed to be a 2-1/2 week job went into 4 weeks, and because of a time crunch for them to finish, Mike promised us that he would return to fix the many issues (numerous uneven tiles/walls, broken tile, un-grouted & un-caulked areas). I've worked with many contractors on my Shaker Heights home but NONE of them even compare to the work ethic, efficiency and professionalism of Midtown. I trusted them to work on their own, keep in touch, and update me throughout the 4 days of their work.
