I have been going threw a raally hard time for the past 2 yrs personal and emotional things and where i used to live not a good area. The struggle we were going threw was really hard but we got this as each day passes and with GOD . I contacted Midtown FS for help with rental assistance because I am pregnant and facing hardships. I was contacted by Mauricio Marquez about an appointment and we agreed for 8/15/19 at 10:30 am. He called me 8/14 left him a voicemail saying that we had an appointment for 10-10:15am. I never would have scheduled an appointment for that day because it was my moms birthday and we had plans I called him back nothing. Midtown Family Services has made our future so much brighter. We applied for a Security Deposit we desperately needed and were approved. We are both Senior Citizens and we were struggling to figure out a way to take care of our needs in our stage of life. I thank everyone involved in making this happen for us.
Shout out to Midtown Family Services in San Jose, CA for reaching out and helping so many people, most recently my sister Marilyn Walker. She is a stroke patient with partial right side paralysis and she fell and sprain her right ankle. Midtown Family Services made it possible for her to obtain the equipment she needed to get around. Very sad and distressed to be posting this on social media. I applied for funding with Midtown in July and was approved through the Seasons of sharing program. My landlord still refused to accept any monies from me, as they has filed an unlawful detainer. In the midst of this, I was given a judgement to stay in my home if I could pay the remaining balance for rent. I didnt have such a good experience but im very happy with all the good reviews i didnt seem to get any help just a listing to go by no hints on were to look my sister became homeless we needed help finding her a place we looked and looked got a list but nothing came out of it my sister is still homeless i had her stay with me but my landlord she had to go she gave up on looking everything was a waiting list nothing available, i help homeless at Roosevelt park in san jose once a month with clothing, food, shoes , i have a sm... read more
