I grew up in Midlothian and I recognize the need for more local and upscale dining options. Sadly, Midlothian Chef's Kitchen misses the mark. The food was unseasoned and small-portioned. My friend ordered the carbonara and I ordered the rockfish. Both were lacking in salt. We also split the charcuterie board which was nothing special. This restaurant is such a little gem! The ambience is perfect for a date night, the food was absolutely delicious and creative while still being approachable. The service was wonderful and our waiter, who mentioned he was newer, was very personable and knowledgeable. Overall we had an excellent experience, if we lived in town my husband and I agreed we'd be at this spot for dinner weekly!
