Absolute disgrace to the medical profession, better off just waiting to die than waiting in the ER. Doctor's only hear you talk to respond an not even listen. Waited 2hrs when I was coughing an puking up blood. Ended up going home, coming back the next day, got expressed check ups an found I had pneumonia. Edit: If you are seen by Steve Lapke, I pray you get another doctor
I am not impressed. The doctors and the staff are great! However, the nonexistent “billing department” that you can only reach via a call center IS A JOKE! Their Financial Aid Department? Also a joke. NO ONE wants to sit down, give you straight answers about pricing, and resolve your medical issues in a transparent way! They only want to bill insurance companies! Midlands is one of my favorite hospitals in the area. I gave it 5 stars, because I think they do a good job at trying to fit you in even when they are busy. I cannot remember if I have ever really had a serious problem with them either. All in all, I think they're ok.
Took my 84 year old father here, for a possible UTI. No compassion, the ER doctor was argumentive. Wanted me to take a exhausted elder home at 2:15am in the morning when he obviously couldn't stay awake to load in a vehicle. Staff was horrible. No human compassion. If you can read this seek another facility, never had this treatment before..
This was absolutely the WORST hospital I've ever seen! The doctor wanted to combat me about my health condition and the nurses were unreliable and inattentive!! In the midst of my condition, I overheard nurses saying "great this is how I want to start my day" and/or accuse me of faking my seizures even with proper medical history. Being new to the state, I assumed Id receive great healthcare especially living a mile away in Papillon, but next time I'll go to UNMC like everybody suggested.
