- Over Charged - Wrong diagnosis for issues with furnace - Complete Scam. I called Midland Air to come out regarding my furnace that stopped working. The tech was not HVAC Certified and gave me a list of 4 things I needed to have repaired to fix the issue - and an insane cost to do it. The sales representative with him also suggested I spend another absurd amount to replace my furnace entirely. Horrible customer service. I got their service plan. First guy comes out in the Summer, doesn't even bring the correct filters, turns the a/c on and off, says everything is fine, & does no cleaning/maintenance. Second guy comes in the Fall & brings a salesman with him. He goes through the motions as the salesman tries to sell us a new water heater we don't need & says we should upgrade out system.
