It was weird and slow doing business with a virtual manager. Needed to rent a 15 foot U-Haul and one was not available. Told closest one available was in Sylvania (opposite direction of where I was going -30+ miles at 1.09 per mile with no thought of adjusting price or giving a break on 20 ft trailer because 15 ft not available. Midgard Storage located in Statesboro, GA has wonderful management (Chris) with excellent customer service skills. Everything was explained in detail about the unit and rules. All information was texted or emailed as back up to the explanation. Chris went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything about the rental unit. Lastly Chris made sure I had his number in case I needed to ask any questions. I'm very thankful I found Midguard Storage and Chris.
Absolutely worst experience. Their storage buildings are unmanned and the agents you get online are accusatory and hostile. Talking down to a customer of 5 years who never missed a payment or caused any trouble. Their emails provide false and misleading information and their rates soared over 120% over a two year time span. Managers only work M-F and you are out of luck if you need help on the weekends. Would never advise to use this company in any city.
Renting from Midguard Storage was an absolutely terrible experience! There is no human on site. If you need help, you have to call the company headquarters in who knows where USA. The agent “trying” to help you has no clue about your rental facilities or will be able to help you in any way! THEY DO NOT PRORATE AND OVERCHARGE!!! Total ripoff! Go anywhere but here! Never an employee on site. If you need anything you have to talk to a virtual employee! Ridiculous! Update Dedicated on site property manager! What a Flippin joke! I came in today for some help! Just an easy question and she was in the office and told me to talk to the virtual person instead, while she sat there and did absolutely nothing! Pathetic! Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere, but this piece of garbage!
