Such a tragic loss... Our Golden Retriever was in labor - everything typical and by the book -- she had a hard contraction and died. Panicked and heartbroken, the next concern was the puppies. Called this veterinary hospital -- mind you hospital! They are literally 2 minutes from our home -- they said they could not help us!!!! Aunt took dog in for teeth cleaning and when picking up the dog got a thousand dollar bill and a toothless dog. She is very old and didn't have the money, lives on a fixed income. Shame on you Middleton Vet Hospital. Plus, all the teeth pulled at once, that is a lot of stress on a dog. Businesses should not perform services they are not asked to do.
VERY ANGRY! My 80 year old aunt took her dog into this place to have her teeth cleaned. The service was supposed to be around $100 dollars. My aunt came back to pick her dog up and they informed her that the vet had pulled FOURTEEN of her dog's teeth... and that the bill was now going to be $1000. They did this WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. Did not call or consult with my aunt at all before going ahead and my aunt was shocked. They were able to help me with my cat who has Diabetes.
I would definitely not recommend Middleton Vet. We had been clients for a long time, our 12 year old lab became paralyzed sometime during the night. I called on a Friday morning ( right when they opened)to get him in and was told the best they could do was the following Monday. A vet we had never been to got us in that very same day. Our dog was in pain and had to be euthanized. Horrible customer service. I work in health care, you should never turn someone in pain away.
I don't recommend Middleton Veterinary Hospital. My GSP inhaled a foxtail which migrated up into his sinuses. His left eye closed and he was in distress, Middleton Veterinary Hospital turned us away and said they had no time for my dog. With no referrals or suggestions, my wife drove our GSP all the way down to Caldwell Veterinary Hospital, which they took care of him without question. BTW, my wife took our GSP in at 9am, a reasonable time, not after hours.
Dr. Hall is the only one we trust with our dogs! Very honest and caring. Thank you Mr. Hall.
