Customer beware- I spoke to Mr Ken some months ago about my 96 f700 truck. I explain to him the issues with the brakes and he informed me that it’s a Lucas gurling brake system and it was his forte. Told me to drop my truck off on this particular weekend and I would get it back pretty quick being since it was my main truck and he understood this as “almost all his customers trucks are they way of living”. That’s when it all turned. After having my truck for a week and no calls I called him and he said he is going to replace the master cylinder and call me back another week goes by I call and he is on vacation for over a week and a half and nothing will be done to the truck till he gets back. After two months I finally received so quotes. First being the cheapest was a bandaid. Second was a decent fix and 3rd being the most expensive $3500 would fix my brakes completely and work perfect. Another two months go by he finally calls and says it’s ready. 4 months later I go pick up my truck. I thought I was going to a shop but it must of been a bar as he was drunk when I showed up. Still had cup in hand and had no problem telling me what he was “sippin on”. When I test drove the truck the brakes were still hard and the pedal was still pushing back. I mentioned my concerns to him and he said the truck has been sitting and the push back from the pedal was normal. Assured me that I had a year warranty on my parts and 90 days on the labor. Well day 2 of having the truck it just wasn’t right and never got better like he said it would. So we called him and he said he would come pick up the truck that following Monday or Tuesday to send him the address. It’s now been a week and we can’t get him to answer the phone or call us back. Cell and office phone. After doing some research myself the new reservoir was too small and the brake system was sucking air as the reservoir didn’t hold enough fluid. Man has been paid in full and had my truck 4 months and can’t stand behind his work. The worse part of this entire situation is that he came highly recommended by multiple people and they have seen everything been going on as they would periodically call and see if it worked out being he is a little over an hour from our shop. I really don’t like to get lawyers involved but it seems to be the only way I’ll get my truck fixed or my money back as after $3500 and 4 months I have the same issue.

Im not even gonna waste my time reading this guys crap. Poor guy is clueless. Truck is 24 years old and obsolete. Flipping lucas/gurling brake system didn't work when they were new. Been worked on by every low budget shop out there and like always ended up here cause no one esle could fix it . I already heard how much money he had thrown away on that pos and cant help it if he was already pist when it got here. Truck had No brakes when it got here. None. No brakes. Stopped great when it left. Customer is bitching about a PART we did NOT replace. It must hurt to be that fucking stupid. I made 2 mistakes . First cause i was trying to be helpful i agreed to work on this pos. Second i didn't spend enough of his money as i was trying to save him a few bucks. The pos part thats he says is acting up was recently replaced by another shop but somehow has become my problem . I told everyone involved there could be other issues. Give me a brake. Go buy a new truck with a warranty on it. See how that and your shitty attitude works for ya.
