Mid Peninsula Seafood

4.5

About this business

Besides fresh fish, shrimp, scallops, oysters and crabs in season, you really ought to try the smoked fish spreads made especially for Mid-Peninsula. Salmon, tuna and grouper are smoked for these spreads that are prepared with pickles and pepper or garlic. They cost $2.49 each, so they're as great for gifts as well as instant consumption. Picnic tables and paper plates are the order of the day at this very casual spot that offers beer and wine with meals. But don't drop in on Sundays; they've gone fishing.

Grilled shrimp, a big fat yummy crab cake with fries. Conch fritters first. Everything was outstanding! Can't think of a better place for dinner in St Pete. And the entertainment,,,, Godfrey is a true gem!

I love this place. The staff is so friendly and it's more than reasonably priced.

Simple seafood prepared the right way with solid service. We regularly get the cracked conch and blackened wild caught gulf shrimp. It's as fresh as it gets and they clean the shrimp properly. The gumbo is great and we've also enjoyed several types of fresh fish. We stick to the wild caught products so it can get a little pricey but that's because the product itself is pricey even at the market. If you don't mind farm raised it can be quite affordable, but we think the wild products are worth the extra cost.
