Hotel smells nice, rooms are clean and the management and staff are excellent and super accommodating especially for the price
Located in Johnstown on Comrie avenue, spacious parking, close to restaurants shopping grocery gas stations and good base to explore the surround area. We came specially for mining experience for our kids . There are many herkimier diamond mines nearby Mohawk valley mines , crystal grove and other mines. Staff are friendly.
We stayed at the Wyndham Johnstown, NY. At breakfast, Darlene, a service worker was working breakfast. I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never seen anyone work so hard. Every moment she was busy helping people with breakfast, refilling items, and washing tables with a smile. We enjoyed our breakfast for 45 minutes and she never stopped. Darlene should be commended!
For a lower cost hotel, this place was great. The whole place was clean, everything worked, there were no overpowering smells like many places have, everyone was nice. The breakfast was OK, but I wish they had eggs or some other hot items. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice hotel overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although there wasn't a coffee maker in the room - not a deal breaker for us. Compared to another Microtel we stayed at, the breakfast selection was a little more limited (for example, there was no toast), but they did have a waffle maker. One thing we really appreciated was the extended breakfast hours.
