If I could give them 10 stars I would! I travel a lot for work, and for kids sports. Small town tournament hotels normally treat you as a hassle instead of as a customer. The Microtel in Bonnyville was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time and without a doubt the best tournament hotel we have ever visited. Our team stayed here for a tournament and I cant thank them enough for going above and beyond to all of us. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kids had a blast at the pool. The extended hours on the breakfast supply so our kids has food after there morning game. The fueling up stations with snacks and fluids to keep us all going. We are so appreciative for the amazing service.
We stayed at Microtel for a hockey tournament, and I have to say, this was the best hotel I’ve stayed at for a team stay. The welcoming hospitality to start - they had water bottles for each player, with snacks and Gatorade available throughout the weekend. This hotel has a lounge with outdoor patio with heaters and a fire pit, perfect for our team pizza party, and for parents to socialize at the end of each day. I stayed here for my birthday and this hotel went above and beyond in every way. From check-in to check-out, the staff made me feel so celebrated and cared for. They paid attention to the little details that turn a stay into a memory. Clean rooms, warm service, and genuine hospitality — I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday experience.
