Pulled lamb 10/10 Mac and cheese 10/10 Brisket 10/10 Pork ribs 9.5/10 Squash salad 6/10 Banana pudding 10/10 Pickles 10/10 Pecan cookies 8/10 Service 12/10 Our friends were telling us to go to Franklin's. I'm so glad we didn't. We came here at 3 and there was no line and they were only sold out of beef ribs. If I didn't live in Chicago, I would be back soon.
I am SO GLAD they got a brick and mortar restaurant. This place is a gem and always has been.
Micklethwait BBQ provides classic and tasty meats and a fresh spin on the sides! The brisket, turkey, and pork ribs are so moist and tender. My favorite sides are the creamy Mac n’ cheese, bright-flavored slaw, and herb-filled potato salad. I also loved the peach crisp! The white bread is higher-quality than most BBQ places.
