More BS from Mickey Shorr Yes again some more mickey shorr BS...For three days I had been trying to get my remote starter installed (that I paid for in advance) so that I could get it installed when I had time, because I was told that it woul take 2 1/2 hrs. I got there at 8:30am, they open at 9, I was #7 in line. I never recieved a call so at 1:30pm I called them, the manager tells me I have 6 people ahead of me...After 4 #*%! hrs!?? Micky Shorr BS My girlfriend needed a remote starter for her 2007 Ford Focus. I called Micky Shorr and was told that we could get one installed for $79 with perhaps a slight higher charge depending on the engine type, etc. He also said they would match any competitor's price. Great, so we get there today and are told that the $79 remote isn't really any good and the $99 models work much better and that there would also be an extra $80 fee for her particular model. Very satisfied customer I bought a JVC KD-AVX77 for my SUV. Staff knows its stuff. The price was amazing...easily $100 below Best Buys and other big box stores for a $500 item. The install was tough (the car has twelve speakers and they had to fit a trim plate), but they did a fantastic job. I wouldn't hesitate to go back there again. You could see the staff cares about their customers and the end result.
Bad, Bad, Bad!!! I had them install a stereo in my Harley Davidson... Huge mistake! If you would like to see just how bad they hacked it in, take a look at flikr.com & search for Mickey Shorr. I've posted pictures of what they claim is a professional installation.
Very Troubling Experience I have a 99 Ford Expedition. I needed to get some sound to the rear for my children to be able to hear. The speakers currently are only in the front and middle seats. If you turn it up loud enough for the rear (3rd) seat to hear - the middle seat complains it is too loud. Dirty So, I almost didn't pull into this place because it looked like a mechanics shop. They had some decent deals. The staff are willing to work with you and help find discounts they can give you. Many of the stereo's, I felt, were overpriced. The atmosphere was filthy and I was afraid to touch anything.
