My father passed away at the end of July 2015, and since he already owned grave plots at the adjoining cemetary we chose to have the funeral service at Mich. Memorial Funeral Home. From our first encounter with their staff until well after the burial we have endured one incompetent mistake after another. Too many of my loved ones are here. It's a beautiful cemetery. Their funeral home is also quite beautiful and the people are very very nice.
Two out of three interactions were very unprofessional. First time, the sales guy was very used-car-ish, and got my and my dad's name mixed up. Second time was pre-arranged, so all they really had to do was prepare the plot and conduct the burial. Kudos. Third time, the saleswoman felt it necessary to tell us that the previous person had been fired the previous week (good to know), and then they got the d.o.b. wrong on the date plaque. Fortunately don't expect to have to deal with them again.
