Dr.Messina and team are among the best in the business, no question. I’ve been seeing Michigan Headache and Neurology for the last 6 months, and my migraines are finally becoming more manageable after two decades of pain. Dr.Messina is knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and friendly. I have zero reservations recommending the clinic, and I hope that Dr.Messina continues the practice for years to come.
Dr. Messina perscribed Effexor for migraine treatment without even exploring other options first. He never explained that it is possible to develop a dependency on this drug. I experienced side effects from Effexor and begged the clinic to help me taper off the dosage. His staff did not perscribe me enough doses to safely get off off the meds, so I suffered from severe withdrawal symptoms. I traveled a long way to see Dr. Messina and it was so worth it. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a nice lady at the front desk. They got me in to see the doctor within a few minutes. Him and his staff made me feel like the only patient they had and I felt like I was family. Very very thankful for them and I will definitely recommend them to anyone struggling with headaches or migraines. I wish ALL doctors offices were as compassionate and thorough as Michigan Headache and Neurology!
Dr. Messina and all staff have been excellent Caregivers to me for several years. They are thorough listeners. Migraine control is greatly improved and with it my quality of life. I no longer have to be concerned with E.R. visits and debilitating pain.
I have had the absolute most personal and caring service at this clinic. The online web appointments are very easy and their approach to care is wholistic while also being very specific and results oriented. They take meticulous notes and surveys, and approach care with a "can do" attitude. You present a symptom or issue, and they take it seriously and help to fix it!
