Took away my elderly mother's medication and threatened to take more away if she complained. I'm far away so I sent my son with my mother. In the appointment she promised my mom three months of medication, cancelled it after they left. My mom is terrified of her and doesn't understand how to change her doctor.
If you are elderly and struggle with commincation she will ignore your wants and choices over your own care. Its a fight to get her to collaborate with you at all and when you leave an appoint she will cancel prescriptions and not respond to messages. I've never seen my grandmother so shaken up and scared just anticipating an appointment before, my grandmother had told me that her doctor told her to shut up, and that other people had it worse, and that she could take more of my grandmothers meds away. Dr. Skoretz put diagnoses on my chart without any explanation, and when I followed up to ask why these were there and if they could be removed, she never responded. Additionally, I had lab work come back abnormal, and she never reached out or responded to my inquiries. I would strongly caution others from seeing her. She rushed through the appointment because she was already behind, which isn’t my fault, but her own time management.
