Dr. Michelle Kew is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon. She recently repaired my knee, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. From start to finish, she explained everything clearly, made me feel comfortable, and showed excellent bedside manner. Her professionalism and compassion put me at ease throughout the entire process. The surgery and recovery have gone smoothly, and I feel very confident in the results. I highly recommend Dr. Kew to anyone in need of orthopedic care.
Dr. Kew is kind, thoughtful, and really spends time with her patients to explore healing options. There are a couple negative reviews on here and I’m honestly so confused because Dr. Kew is fantastic. We went to her for a second opinion and we really felt taken care of by her and her entire team. Truly, you can’t go wrong with Dr. Kew. 10/10 recommend.
I saw three different doctors at HSS for a shoulder issue, including Dr. Michelle Kew, and walked away with the same impression each time: there was no empathy, no sense of care—only a process being followed. After more than a year of appointments, not once was physical therapy prescribed—only more tests, referrals, CT scans and MRIs—with no meaningful progress. Every interaction felt utterly transactional and ultimately pointless.
I was referred to Dr Kew by my primary care doctor after tearing my biceps tendon on a fall. I was seen quickly and confirmed the tear with her diagnosis and an MRI. Surgery was scheduled within a week which was important for this type of injury. The whole team and process for the surgery performed extremely well! Dr. Kew and her team are excellent. She performed a reverse shoulder replacement after I fell and shattered my right shoulder. I am, so far, pleased with the result.
