Lived in one of their neighborhoods for over a year now. When we purchased last summer they said pool would be ready. Come to find out they’ve had this promised to residents for over 3 years. They’ve raised HOA significantly bc of a pool that’s not even ready. Builder doesn’t seem to care about the happiness of buyers or promises made but more so jsut pocketing money. This is among one of the problems. On their neighborhood fb pages we’ve got multiple reported ongoing issues with Michaels.
THE RIDGE SUBDIVISION IS IN HORRIBLE CONDITION! THE FRONT ENTRANCE IS AN EMBARRESSEMENT! THE NEIGHBOHOOD IS NOT BEING MAINTAINED!!! THE COMUNITY POOL REMAINS UNFINISHED. WEEDS ARE NOT BEING MOWED OR MAINTAINED. THE FRONT ENTRANCE ISN'T BEING MOWED, LANDSCAPING ISN'T BEING DONE!!!! BUT YET MICHAEL'S HOMES RAISED OUR DUES? FOR WHAT? BEYOND PISSED!!!!!!!!!
BUYER BEWARE -- especially if you are considering purchasing a home in a Michael's Homes neighborhood. I've lived in a Michael's Homes neighborhood since 2020. It's 2025 and they still HAVE NOT finished our neighborhood. Now, they want to turn over the HOA and essentially forgo their responsibility to finish our neighborhood ...one can’t help but assume financial duress.... given the state of the real estate market, why wouldn't a developer want to complete a neighborhood? Superior
One of the biggest flaws of our 2017 Michael’s home is you can literally hear everything happening on the toilet upstairs, it’s SO loud. It’s 2 AM and another sleepless night. I have complained about this in first year warranty repair and no solution or offer to alleviate the noises. Make sure you not only look for issues, but listen as well before you buy one of their homes.
