Dr Welker could not have been more attentive. If you do the pre-op exercises and follow the post op instructions you will have great success. YOU are the best option for your success! 6 weeks post op for TKR and I am using an exercise bike at rehab. Hardly needed pain meds at all.
I've been coping with orthopedic issues since the 80's . I've been lucky. I know how to find great doctors. Dr. Welker's right up there with the best I've had. You can't go wrong here. He's intelligent, skilled, kind, and compassionate....can't wait to have my other hip replaced lol
Dr. Welker replaced both of my knees... one year apart. I couldn't be happier.
My daughter had a total hip replacement on 7-1-24 and I can't seem to get her pain medication refilled and he didn't write her neurotic out at all. You can't just call him they want your pharmacy to fax something to them and they won't do it because it wasn't filled there he had them ready for her at the hospital with No prescription to take home. She can't even stand up. He doesn't follow thru with his patients. Which is very cruel! SHE NEEDS HER OAIN MEDICATION!!!
