I took my VW for repair, spending over $5k in repairs. The "Check Engine" Light came on within the 6 mile drive home from releasing the newly repaired vehicle to me. Now they want another $2k + for more repairs. Why wouldn't they have caught this issue during the 1st diagnosis? Why would they return my vehicle to me with other engine issues not mentioned or addressed during the 1st repair? Sorely disappointed.
My son's car was serviced at Michael's Volkswagen. Their service department is great! Jerry helped us. When we first got there, he spoke with my son, and congratulated him on his new car. He gave him his card and said to call if ever there were any problems with the car. He included him in the whole process. He was very respectful toward me as well. Best yet – Bought a car from this place about ten years ago and it was a good experience. This time it was GREAT. I shopped around a few other vw dealers including the one across town, a choice I didn't have last time, and all I can say is that Michaels was the only choice. They other guys didn't know anything about the cars, maybe because they had only a few cars on their lot. The few they did have all had some dealer mark up or $1000 fabric protectant on them. The most expensive disappointment ever – I made the mistake of leasing from MIchael's a few years ago after having purchased or leased from Lithia for several years. Boy, was that a mistake. Here are two examples of how they typically do business: The service department quality rating scheme at Michael’s is a joke. Wait 10-15 minutes in the hope someone will come out and wait on you and have them mark off the excellent box before you sign the paperwork.
