Elman spent maybe 15 minutes with me and did not provide treatment, suggesting an expensive MRI and OTC pain meds for a shoulder injury (which healed naturally in a few weeks). The average cost for a first-time office visit to an orthopedist in MA is $125-$250, but my bill was $500. For what? I disputed it through their Athena Health site with no answer for about a year, all the while receiving invoice after invoice in the mail.
