Been coming to this shop for over 10 years. I’ll leave my personal biases aside and just talk about the coffee. Love the people that work here and their espresso is great-not the best but good. Their prices have always been high but manageable. Recently they seem excessive. A quad shot of espresso shouldn’t be as much as a latte. $7.65 for espresso and then another $8 for a latte. $15-not including tip- for two drinks is insane. There exists a highly sought-after level for coffee houses and coffee roasters that is based upon more than their brew or pastries, no matter how fine they be. Michael Thomas Coffee Roasters is one of those that sets that rare standard. It has to do with joy, community, connection, and activist energies all in one.
