I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer Stage 1 during my third year with Kaiser and my third scan. I was frightened and my only thoughts were cut it out of my body. When I went for consultation with Dr. Michael Onwugbufor, he explained everything and drew pictures to help me understand. He told me my options. Dr. O explained that if first procedure, a wedge resection did not contain all of the cancer once pathology reviewed, he would then remove the complete lower lobe. Dr O was the most profoundly wonderful doctor I could have hoped for. I was diagnosed with lung cancer and chose him as my thoracic surgeon. He was knowledgeable, honest, kind, and empathetic dealing with what I was going thru. He was quick to respond to all my questions in a professional manner but was also very caring and easy to talk with. He is highly skilled and very intelligent and I recommend him 100 times over. Thank you Dr O for everything you have done for me!!

Dr. Onwugbufor (Dr.O) was exceptional in taking me through the process for surgery for my lung from the beginning all the way to the aftercare. He’s the best and I highly recommend him.
