I had a deeply disappointing and frankly distressing experience with Dr. Michael Benke. I came in with a clearly described history of gluteus muscle contracture following years of intramuscular penicillin injections in childhood. Had a great experience with Dr. Benke and his team! My partner has been under his care for three years and recently suggested I see him for a second opinion on my shoulder injury. He really took the time to understand my concerns, reviewed my existing MRIs, and even caught what my other doctors missed! I truly appreciate his thoroughness and excellent bedside manner. I fractured my collarbone and ruptured the ligament which attaches it to the shoulder, resulting in a separation. Dr. Benke repaired the broken bone with a plate and screws and reattached the ligament. He did an excellent job; I had a full recovery, after 2 months of immobilization, 2 months of physical therapy, and 2 months back at work.
