I was referred to Dr. Shapiro by my orthopedic doctor for a second opinion. He has an amazing demeanor, and after looking at my reports, and examining my kneecap, he recommended against surgery. I appreciate a Doctor Who will take a conservative approach, and Dr. Shapiro is one such doctor. He was coincidentally recommended by a friend who lives in my condo complex Which also helped to bolster my confidence in him.
I would give zero stars if that was an option. Horrible doctor and surgeon. I injured my knee in 2016 at the age of 48 years old and in great health otherwise. He performed surgery leaving my knee in more pain than before. I still suffer with pain to this day. He has ruin my knee. My choice per other doctors evaluations, following this terrible surgery, is I can live with it or get a total knee replacement. Christie in the office is the best. She went over board to deal with my insurance and MRI provider. Dr. Shapiro is the best Dr. Very knowledgeable and does not push surgery last resort only.
