I have never had a problem with Dr. McCartney. He has always been willing to listen to anything I needed to discuss and has always been very concerned. I actually changed insurance companies when mine no longer covered that practice just so I could continue having him as my primary doctor.
I have been with Dr. McCartney since he was in Belmont. I actually changed insurance companies because they no longer accepted mine. I appreciate the time he spends to make sure I understand the plan of action.
I have been seeing Dr. McCartney for over 7 years, I have had several health issues, and when he felt like he needed to send me to a specialist we would discuss the problem at hand and make the best decision. He is very kind and knowledgeable, a bit conservative & seems to know his limits. For a good Family Practitioner I highly recommend him. The only thing I Don’t like about his office is the phone tree.
I've been a patient of Gaston Medical Partners for a little over a year. McCartney is competent enough, but he and the practice in general are terrible about client service. I wouldn't let them apply a band aid at this point.
I found him to be very pleasant but not sure if he is right doctor for us as elderly couple. We didn't spend much time talking about my health mostly he just re entered information on computer which I thought he already had since we were in their system already from previous doctor. But I did like him as a person.

I have always been very pleased with Dr. McCartney. He takes time to listen, ask if you are in agreement with the treatment and makes you feel very comfortable.
Has given excellent care to my elderly mother and myself. I highly recommend him.
