My situation has been difficult, and it's been even more difficult to talk about, especially since I've had to change doctors over the years due to them retiring, my job or insurance provider changing, etc. Dr. Light though, is one of the easiest I've found to open up to, both about my past and more recent events. My wife is going to be in need of a new doctor herself, and I am referring her to him, and I would happily refer any of my other friends and family members to him as well.
Dr. Light saved my life. I went through a very traumatic event and saw my PC who lightly wrote me a prescription for an antidepressant and sent me out the door. I found Dr. Light myself and he actually listened to my PTSD stress and helped me. I was in a really bad place. Part of the reason mental health is so prevalent is because PC physicians will not help in severe cases - in my case- they wouldn’t even be a source to someone else that could handle the severity of my symptoms- I thank God I found this doctor - he listened... read more
[Update….unfortunately I was never able to make an appointment because he has left Kentucky Psychiatry (now called Ally). And since my negative experience recently I have to admit the administration of the practice was very kind and they have at least read the info I sent on my insurance. So that is no longer an issue and a great man in the Main Bowling Green Office named Julian not only took care of it but had tried to find me a provider. I saw Dr light quite some time ago, and was in a difficult situation where I was unable to make a few appointments, and was discharged.. I respect that , typically with providers after 4+ years doctors give patients a second chance. Upon calling today and expressing my situation and in desperate need of services- the representative who answered the phone had a truly degrading tone when saying “when a patient is discharged- that ARE NEVER allowed back. Dr. Light sees my daughter so I got an appt with him too! He’s amazing & gets to the root of the problem right away. I like that he takes his time to listen to every concern and cover every problem. Thank you so much Dr. Light for keeping me sane!
