My experience with Dr. Michael Parks was and continues to be incredibly positive. Having endure a second reconstructive knee surgery (on my other knee) was daunting, but Dr. Parks relieved both the physical pain and anxiety of the procedure. Dismissive, had not read my chart, almost insulting regarding my complaints and left inaccurate notes on my chart re visits with other doctors in the hospital. Not recommended!
The ratings wouldn’t allow for no stars. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DR PARKS! HE used to work at Mt. Sinai Med Center and for some reason he did not list that experience in his credentials. I wonder why?! In 2003 he performed a botched total hip revision on me while he was working under Dr. Levy at Mt Sinai Med Center. I ultimately lost 12 pints of blood. Saw Dr. Parks for evaluation of hips and knees. Bone on bone in Left hip but Dr. Parks said function was very good and I did not need replacements or surgery now. He is a caring, compassionate doctor who actively listens and explains everything well. I have great confidence in his expertise. I would recommend him highly.
On Feb. 20, 2019 I had a appointment with Dr. Parks after a Thorough Examination on my right knee , Dr. Parks explained all my options and the minimal evasive surgery he does on knee replacements. I have not had the surgery yet but when I do it will be Dr. Michael Parks doing it, I highly recommend Dr Parks.
Dr Parks did a knee revision on my left knee after a surgeon in my area botched it and wouldn’t take responsibility. He saw it thru from start to finish. Didn’t pawn me off to a PA after surgery. Excellent surgeon and person
Dr. Parks is an extremely knowledgeable clinician and skilled orthopedic surgeon. His gentle manner conveys genuine caring, not only for the patient's presenting problem, but also for the patient's over all well being.
I am beyond disappointed in Dr. Parks and his staff. When I first had my knee replaced I received a lot of attention but after 16 months I scheduled an appointment about how my knee was so inflammed and in pain. He really did not care at all and I was quickly dismissed. I called again and told his secretary that it was critical that he return my call and still have not heard back. He earned his big salary and is done with me. Now I have to have a revision with another surgeon.
