I have had some very abnormal stool, which is why I visited Dr. Konikoff. I have pictures of my stool to show doctors and he refused to look at the pictures. Every time he asked about m stool he asked me to pick from a chart of stool pictures and tell him which one os closest to my stool. None of these pictures represented my stool (which is why I was there in the 1st place). Every time I told him that my stool looks nothing like the pictures, he just kept saying choose which one is closest.
Dr. Konikoff has been my daughter’s (who has Rett Syndrome) GI specialist for 3 years. We are relocating to Texas and very sad to leave and not be under his care anymore. He was always very responsive to any concerns we have had and never dismissive. Very knowledgeable! Very kind! Gives you all your options and offers help whenever you need it. We learned a lot over the years. Thank you for all you do!
Dr. Konikoff was able to diagnose and treat a rare disease my daughter has when other doctors were unable to.
