I got my braces on 2 years ago with Dr. Phelan, and I was assured that my braces would be off in 18 months with minimal outside work required. Well 3 surgeries and 24 months later, my teeth are still in terrible condition and now its questionable whether I will get my braces off before the next school year or not. In fact, my most previous oral surgery was defective at the orthodontist's fault, and now we must repeat the operation, although only the first operation is covered by insurance. Dr. Phelan did my braces OVER 10 years ago! My teeth are still in excellent condition and people STILL tell me how gorgeous my smile is! My perm. retainer has given me no problems and my teeth NEVER shifted. I still remember him every time I brush my teeth. I remember the office and his staff being awesome! He was gentle and very nice and talked to me like I was a person and not just a number on his patient's list.
